2006

All orders are coming along, however, not as quickly as I would like.  I'll be retiring from the company I've been with for 28 years and will be in my shop full-time. .  Things should get on track after Jan. 1, 2007. "Thank You" to all my clients for your business and your patience.

I'm giving some thought to making a few straight knives, as time permits. My partner and fiancee has demonstrated a real talent for and interest in making leather sheaths and we are looking forward to working together on some projects.

Some more news...I am looking forward to my term as a Director of the Board of the Knifemakers' Guild. The Guild's 2006 show was a big success again this year. As mentioned on my home page, I was fortunate to have won the "Best Folder" award for the second consequtive year at the Guild show in Orlando this year with a 5 bladed Congress. It's been a good year...I also won the same award at this year's Blade Show in Atlanta with a 5 bladed Joe Rogers.

You may be able to help me...I'm very interested in locating old pocket knives made by English cutlers back to the late 1700s, that I could use for patterns (single blades up to 8 blades). If you know where I could locate any of these old knives, get in touch by phone or e-mail. I'm also interested in old knives by Shapleigh Hardware, Keen Cutter, etc. that I could develop patterns from.

If you know anyone who has any of these old treasures that may need repairing....let's talk.
